Seattle

August 28, 2001

We arrived in Seattle on Wednesday and were met by Eric's friends' Greg and Suzanne. We rented the jeep and headed over to Greg and Suzanne's apartment where Cheryl's friend, Darrick, joined us. Then went out to dinner and off to the Seattle Mariner's baseball game against the Detroit Tiger's at Safeco Field. It was an incredible game as the Mariner's proceeded to massacre the Tiger's and had a six run lead in the first inning!!

August 29, 2001

Woke up around 9 am and took the Seattle to Bainbridge Island ferry around noon.

Go to Olympic Peninsula for the next few days.

August 31, 2001

Returned to Seattle, had dinner with Greg and Suzanne. Then went out to a couple of bars and played some darts with Greg and Jason (another of Eric's friends who lives in Seattle).

September 1, 2001

Greg took us to a restaurant in Ballard (part of Seattle) and we enjoyed the view of the sound while having lunch on the deck. Afterwards, we went to the locks and saw the Salmon ladder, which was really cool as they have an indoor viewing area where you can actually see the salmon in the water as they are swimming through the ladder.

Later we picked up Suzanne, went to the Pike Place Market and then took the Monorail to Seattle Center. This was a great weekend to be in Seattle as they were having their annual Bumbershoot music festival from Friday to Monday. We saw a few shows outside and went to the Ween concert, one of Greg's favorite bands. After the concert, we went to the sushi restaurant that Jason works at where they were having a party.

Returned to Boston.
